The Legacy of Imperialism Project
On June 2, 2010, we had our Legacy of Imperialism Presentations at DVC. This project was a BIG roller-coaster ride and it was really nerve-wrecking lol. Me and my group which were Anna Moscoso, Bernard Perez, and Troy King, represented the country of Botswana. We spent about 2-3 months working on this project. From the time we started the project, to the time we got up and presented it, I was just so amazed at how great we did and I was very proud of my group and myself. Even though we were nervous, we still had the courage and confidence to go up and present our project. At the end of the day, there was only 5 groups that got funded which was Angola, Botswana, Togo, Uganda, Sierra Leone and 1 group that won which was Rwanda. I am VERY proud of my group, not only because we got funded, but because we worked together as a team and we did an awesome presentation! Thanks Team Botswana, you guys are awesome! =)
1st Semester! =)
This semester in DSA was a roller coaster ride! I learned about photoshop & how to edit pictures. We learned about graphic designing for our I Am From Poem. We also learned photography, which that was my favorite thing to do because I love taking pictures lol. We had our first BIG project which was The HOOF project. That was the most hardest but coolest thing we did in DSA. I liked it so much because it had to do with my family and it was interesting to learn about my family’s past and sharing it with everyone else. I was very proud of myself because I didn’t think I was going to finish it and I didn’t think it was going to come out great, but after I saw it on presentation night, I was amazed at what I did and I felt very accomplished. Its the end of the semester now and we are staring 3D modeling. Its kind of complicated but its going well. I’m looking forward to another semester in DSA and I can’t wait to learn more! =)
Flickr Photography!
I took these pictures and I edited them. It wasn’t that hard to edit but overall I think did a really good job. I used curves to make the pictures brighter and I used blur to blur out the background. I really like these pictures and I’m very proud of myself.
I Am From Poems =)
WOW!!!!……Well these poems took me a while to do, but I think I did REALLY good. In my second poem, I have pictures of my family that I am from and in my first poem I have a picture of the Riverwalk in San Antonio, TX.
Triptych!!!!!!!! =)
This was a little hard to do, but I think i did well. This triptych shows my past, present, and future. On the first side of the triptych, it shows my favorite cartoons that i used to watch as a kid. In the middle, there’s a picture of myself and music notes because I really love music and I have a passion for it. On the last side of the triptych, it shows a graduation cap and a professional camera which means that i want to graduate from high school and when i grow up i want to be a famous photographer.
I Am From
I was born in that SATX
Coming from a world that’s so complex
The mirror is not clear, but it still reflects.
I am from a family that was there from the start
The only ones I love deep in my heart.
Late night movies and movies, playing UNO and Taboo
And I can’t forget my spanish soaps too.
Mario Kart and 007
And the good ole trips to 7eleven
I am from a father that is tough and headstrong
And a mother that was always there when things went wrong
From a family of strength and pride
There was always someone by my side.
From the holidays and special occasions I will always remember
To my favorite month, when I was born in Septemeber
And when life gets tough, and sometimes worse
The family I am from, will always come first.
